Overview
2013 – LED illuminated 3D Mixed Media Mural, 16’x24’x1′, on the Lobby wall of the Office Building at 680 Folsom st., San Francisco, CA.
Goals
Our concept for the lobby wall was to create a spectacular artwork that would pay tribute to the uniqueness, diversity, and triumphant achievement of the city of San Francisco. The theme of the piece relates to the growth, prosperity, and openness of the City, highlighting its thriving expansion, and promoting its future. San Francisco has been something analogous to the mythical Phoenix literally rising from the ashes. Not only has the city been able to come back from devastating setbacks such as the Great Earthquake and Fire of 1906, but it has been able to reach new heights of achievement and magnificence.
Process
Design and fabrication by Arteclettica, Metal work and installation by Mountain Forge, Framing by Hernan Puga.
