Overview
Desert Agave is a suspended custom sculpture located at the Clardy Fox Library in El Paso, TX. It is built around a segmented internal frame, using colorful, heat-formed Varia EcoResin shapes assembled in the form of an agave plant. Agaves are a native plant species widespread in El Paso, TX that resides within the Chihuahuan Desert. The colorful sculpture brings nature and excitement into the Library setting.
Goals
Desert Agave aims to change the environment into a place visitors feel welcomed being in and around. It brings a sense of joy to the public using as it uses a bright colored pallet that references ten different species of agave to create the shapes.
