Overview

Contemporary representation of sleeve insignia of the Australian Navy.

Curl was originally derived from the braided insignias on the epaulettes and sleeves of naval personnel and represents a structure that hints at naval architecture; referencing the bicentennial sculptures that were installed in Plymouth and Circular Quay.

This piece was informed by community stakeholder engagement.
