Overview
The commission was to create a 7′ tall statue in bronze, in the likeness of the late John Lewis. It was to have his spirit and soul.
Goals
To create a lifelike statue moving forward in time.
Process
Working with the Monuments Foundation, City of Atlanta, and various civil rights leaders, to create a living memorial that everyone could be proud of. The work was created in clay, cast in bronze, and then installed on the granite base.
