Overview
This seven foot tall sculpture is the focal point at the entrance of the hospital.
Goals
The goal was to symbolize the tremendous community spirit that enabled this hospital to reopen. The sculpture was dedicated at the reopening ceremony for the hospital at an event hosted by the hospial President and was attended by hundreds of employees and local citizens and dignitaries,
Process
Over a period of about 6 weeks I developed several possible plans for the sculpture working with the consultants, AAR. It became clear after discussions with the Hospital's President that he favored a symbolic rendering but not an abstract sculpture. I suggested the final version and it has been enthusiastically received !
Additional Information
The sculpture has become an important part of the culture of the hospital
