Overview
AARP had a list of a wish list that the community had stated they would like to see In a Ideal LA. The wishes were convied to me and I created the images.
Goals
It was a goal of AARP to integrate a Chicana Artist into the project so that the audience could relate and enjoy the imagery.
Process
AARP approached me with the ideas the community had written down on a wish list for LA. I created the Original paintings with my interpretational images. The paintings were then documented. The documented Hi Res images were sent to the designer Tamika Quillard at Quillard Inc. She created the imagery that would go onto the Bus and Train very beautifully.
Additional Information
This project was a collaboration with a group of people who had a vision to add color and diversity to the roads of LA. It was incredible to see my works of Art throughout LA. The best part was passing through Pasadena with my 85 year old Mother as she saw her portrait on the train.
