Overview
The Trousdale is a new senior living residence developed in a partnership with the Peninsula Health Care District (San Francisco Peninsula) and the community-based nonprofit builder Eskaton. The artworks bring both color and an interesting focus to first floor walls, including the hallway adjoining the lobby and the community dining room.
Goals
The curatorial intent is to provide interesting and colorful artwork to a cross-cultural senior citizen audience.
Process
The artist, Neil Murphy, presented a selection of artworks he thought appropriate to this audience to the curatorial team at The Ambiance Group. They are a national, vertically integrated art services and art consulting company. They specialize in providing healthcare, senior living and corporate artwork. The collaboration was iterative and smooth.
