This assignment was a collaborative effort between the project coordinator and artist. With a three-day turn-around (just before Thanksgiving) to develop, render, approve and complete for print and framing, I lived my life briefly through an XLS spreadsheet. Samples of textures and materials were sent via email. Three art images would be editied/created digitally at my studio, then uploaded for mass production of ready-to-hang prints.
Medium: Digital Art/ Photography/ Giclee Print
Final Dimensions: (Artwork above) 16”x22” each. (Not pictured) 48”x36”
The turnaround time for this project was REDIC, so having images approved after key edits was paramount. Renovations to public corridors and common areas often implement imagery for mood, character or homage to the local community and this project was no different. Appropriate engagement of the artwork with current textiles, color treatments wall coverings was the driver from concept to completion.
I was given direct instructions to edit, reformat and render two of the works for uploading to our volume framer. The last art image would be developed primarily from my studio with notes, comments and final approval from the project coordinator.
This project was completed just before Thanksgiving and Black Friday. It's amazing how fast projects are completed before a holiday weekend!
