Overview
Clement Meadmore sculpture “Uprising” at 12” square cross section. Approximate size is 125.3” high x 50” wide x 40” deep. Fabricated from 1/4” thick aluminum plate (5083 and 6061). A stainless steel pipe was provided for anchoring into a concrete footing with an aluminum sleeve in the sculpture sliding over it for installation.
Finish: the entire sculpture was sand blasted, primed with epoxy primer and painted black with Axalta Imron 3.5+.
Goals
The goal of this project was adhering to the aesthetic and form of a renowned mid-century modernist sculptor. The aluminum sculpture presented many challenges, with its complex twists and turns, which required careful and precise fabrication utilizing our press brake. We were presented with a 9in. model to replicate.
