Overview
This interactive kaleidoscope viewer, designed for pedestrians and viewers along a new bikeway, reflects the diverse population of residents in the Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland, allowing one a unique sightline of the city’s landscape. The design of the project is inspired from the the diverse population of people living in nearby neighborhoods, where their various cultural identities sort of reflect off one another.
The project consists of an interactive kaleidoscope that you can lower down over your head to see a reflective view of downtown Cleveland, OH.
Goals
The project goals included developing a design that would act as a sort of viewing platform, allowing unique perspectives of Cleveland. Additionally, project was to activate natural spaces along new bike path and become a point of pride for neighborhood residents.
