Overview
Public sculpture project for the City of North Lauderdale, Florida. The project started out to be an art on loan project, consisting of two Yellow I-beam sculptures for 6 months. After the first 6 months were completed of the original agreement, the sculptures remained in place one and a half additional years. After that the city and I agreed to have them stay as a permanent installation, thus to my excitement began the City of North Lauderdale’s first permanent sculpture in the public art collection on display.
Goals
The goal was to have and install sculpture for the cities art on loan program. I was chosen for a six month time period.
Process
There were some wonderful people involved in this whole project working together. George Gatson, and Tammy Reed-Holguin. George Gatson recommended my Yellow I-beam sculptures to Tammy Reed-Holguin and see accepted two of my works for the program.
