Overview
I was commissioned to produce a 60 foot wall sculpture using imagery for local flora of New York City for Hogan Lovells @ 390 Madison Ave
95 individual parts comprise this 720x120x2” wall sculpture. Asked to incorporate the natural world of New York City into the composition, I based this work on the flora of Manhattan’s High-Line Park in the Chelsea neighborhood. Spanning sixty feet, this silhouetted landscape becomes a flowing atmosphere of color evoking the qualities of delicate frosted glass.
Goals
I was commissioned to create a spectacular addition to the New York Headquarters that will inspire and attract a fresh generation of law talent.
Process
Using a team of trusted vendors, my studio handles all design and fabrication from start to finish. I work directly with all stakeholders including client representatives, building mangers, architects, structural engineers while also interfacing with an onsite unionized workforce. I provide videotaped press interviews and didactic narratives.
