Sculptor Andy Scott
Bronze sculpture of the internationally acclaimed architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh sitting on his famous Argyle chair. It is twice life size.
The goal was to deliver a sculpture that would resonate with the location (CRM is Glaswegian) and work as an iconic landmark sculpture for the new housing development.
The sculpture was made in clay in the Philadelphia studio and cast at Independent Casting, also in Philadelphia.
We hope to find a client to make a similar sculpture of Margaret MacDonald Mackintosh. She was a successful artist in her own right and worked closely with her husband Charles Rennie Mackintosh on many projects.
