Overview
The artist often made use of the motif of the chair. Utilizing an assortment of materials including mirrored glass, wire mesh, fabric, and in this case fabricated bronze with patina, Samaras built his artworks as dreamlike presences. Here he reminds us of flight, of stairs, of the static nature of a singular chair, and brings the intriguing zig-zagging shape of the tower, threatening our sense of balance.

Goals
The goal was to assist the artist and team in creation and production of his vision for the work into form.
