Overview
Blown glass and stainless steel.
Goals
The idea evolved from a concept of making a large composition using many cubes mounted on a framed surface. Then we decided to make a cluster of cascading cubes that appeared to be falling along the wall, and continued to add more cubes to the wall near it. As we had a broken cube or two in the process, the idea of embedding them into the wall and ceiling seemed like a unique solution.
Process
The artist suggested warm colors to bring the sunlight into the interior of the hall. The piece consists of about 40 cubes in total.
