Overview

Middle College High School and the International High School, Long Island City, NY
The woven mosaic world maps (7’H x 17’ W) are both “right side up” as they are presented in geography books, and “upside down” as they are taught in new curriculums.
The five mosaic boroughs woven from the maps of the world (40”H x 20’W) greet you as you enter the shared entrance to both schools.

Goals

This project weaves together maps of the world with maps of the five boroughs.
