Overview
To fill a hallway with paintings related to the hospital and it's unique status as one of the best in the southeast.
Goals
It was sent out as a "Call to Artist" by the Arts Council of Charlotte NC. I was their single choice, no short list.
Process
I met with the hospital administrators who gave me complete access to their public relations photos. I met with each of their department heads, taking photos all along the way. I was even given access to the operating room for an open heart surgery, I declined that honor, and used their photos for that.
Additional Information
Each of the triangle paintings relate in color to the next square and in subject. For instance the veins in the leave relates to the heart section. Each square represents a major function of the hospital: trauma, women's health, etc.
