Overview

Suspended Poetry is 120 h x 36 inch diameter, material is Venetian hand blown glass, with stainless steel aircraft cable. The artwork consist approximately 100 Chinese characters, meshing of three Ancient Chinese poems, with emphasis on coming of early spring, flower blooming, rain drop and garden come to life. The choice of the colors is based on Chinese traditional Ming Dynasty blue white porcelain.

Goals

Suspension sculpture is commissioned by the owner, it is integrating with lights, create a very unique artistic chandelier.

Process

Artist wrote the calligraphy cursive style, then work with Venetian glass master, use hot liquid like glass to rewrote characters. This is a great work of collaboration.
