Overview
Entro designed and implemented a comprehensive wayfinding and donor recognition program for Bridgepoint Active Healthcare – a new long term care facility overlooking the Don River. The signage program connects the modern, new hospital to the historic Toronto Don Jail, which was revitalized as the new administrative wing. The signage design incorporates simple, colourful graphics and utilizes materials and finishes that enhance the architecture.
Goals
Interpretive signage about the Don Jail as well as historic images in lieu of the colourful graphics tell fascinating stories about the site's history for signage in the historic wing. The donor recogntion program includes an innovative Interactive Donor Wall, which employs sensors that trigger a radiant glow to eminate from colourful jewelry-like blocks. The effect of this artistic piece is both engaging and calming.
