Overview
12ʼx 20ʼx 8ʼ Suspended wall sculpture, steel, hard coated foam, hydrostone, wood, acrylics. Pan Am Place, Winnipeg Heritage Exchange District, MB. Exterior façade of a heritage building that has been retrofitted as transitional housing for young boxing club members, this installation wall sculpture symbolizes breaking through barriers in a retro pop art style.
Goals
The primary goal was to connect the goals of Pan Am Place to the Exchange District environment, creating an iconic representation of the clubs philosophy. Also to empower members of the club and residents of Pan Am Place to embrace their inner strength and take pride in their efforts at self improvement.
Process
I worked primarily with the architect in charge of the renovations to develop the concept and bring it to fruition.
Additional Information
