Overview
Installed in 2022 in Hangzhou China, the client was looking for an emotive sculpture that represented strength and the force of nature in the form of a wave. With this piece I explored the form and surface of water, and capture it in a moment as though a wave is seen stopped in time, and rendered in the beautiful material of mirror finish stainless steel.
The sculpture is 6 meters tall – and made in 316L stainless with a structure of 304SS
Its part of a series of explorations I’ve done in stainless that I bring the surface to life using ripples and twists to create the extraordinary. I hope you like it.
