Overview
Cohesive visuals and branding for urban farm, large scale exterior murals on walls and shipping containers, two food delivery trucks with additional signage for markets to address food desert – no nearby fresh foods or markets, illegal drug activity, violence, neglected/vacant lots.
Goals
IMPACT:
300 families in surrounding neighborhoods receive fresh food deliveries on a bi-monthly schedule, 4 local artists employed to create food truck designs and other murals on site, increased visibility of the urban agricultural program
Process
Attending Bon Secours Community Works meetings with stakeholders, hiring local artists of color as assistant painters, community arts engagement through mural painting, visual research of history of the neighborhood to be included in designs for murals
