Overview

DION unveils «Fluid Sails» a marvel of engineering and artistry, intricately crafted from premium stainless steel. This sculptural masterpiece stands 8 meters high, spans 7 meters in length, and stretches 2.4 meters wide. It is securely mounted on a robust metal base, equipped with sophisticated flotation devices to ensure it remains gracefully buoyant.

As evening descends, «Fluid Sails» transforms into a radiant beacon, illuminated by 60 strategically positioned lights that cast a captivating glow visible from great distances. Hidden beneath its polished exterior, the sculpture houses a formidable engine: three pumps delivering a combined power of 22.5 kW, which propel water at an impressive rate of 255 m3/h.

This not only stabilizes the sculpture but also infuses it with a lively essence, blending the static art of sculpture with the dynamic flow of water. «Fluid Sails» invites onlookers to delve into a world where imagination sails on the boundless seas of innovation.

Goals

Designed for a vast park and entertainment complex, «Fluid Sails» is set within an artificial reservoir to create an illusion of a sailing boat effortlessly cruising on water, its sails billowing with the wind. This installation mesmerizes visitors, offering them a unique blend of artistic sculpture and the illusion of nautical adventure.
