Overview
48 x 110 x 2 inches on 3 wood panels. Many layered oil glazes using dry mineral pigments, acrylic gold, over marble dust and metal.
Goals
The personal goal for this design was to let a simple curve lead me to a solution. Once the wide blue field became dominant, outer space spoke, and the colors became deeper, and the metal eclipses moving along the curve fell in to place.
Process
The piece was created in 2017 but found its permanent home in 2022.
Additional Information
It is always fun when collectors come to the studio and just fall in love with a particular piece, and then a great pleasure to see it installed in their home, where they are involved in the exact placement, and they take proud ownership.
