Overview
This work was created as I danced with LEDs in front of my camera in my studio shortly after the COVID-19 lockdown period was lifted in June 2020. This particular grouping of prints used photographs of the sunset that glowed as I took off on my last flight, in late February 2020. I was going abroad for an art project, which I didn’t know would be subsequently interrupted by COVID. It symbolizes the transformations and hard shifts as we endured this coronavirus. This work was created with the intention of exhibition case in the Landside Terminal at PIT, the origin and destination airport that signifies the beginning and the end of my strangest year.
Goals
Temporary Public Art Project in the Landside Terminal at PIT International Airport
Process
I used my light-painting performance method and long-exposure photography to create the imagery for this project.
