Overview
A series of view-finder frames, located on the bike path at the Scottsdale Waterfront. Each directs the viewer to a specific mountain view.
Goals
The goal of this project was to create a series of view-finder frames through which bicyclists could observe a specific mountain view and read a brief description of the mountain's history. The view-finder artworks are located along the Salt River Project canal system in Scottsdale.
Process
After meeting with public art consultants of the city of Scottsdale, we presented several site specific ideas. With feedback from the selection committee, the botanical bicycle theme was chosen. Bike Path Frames are the end result of a collaboration between Scottsdale Public Art and our studio.
