Overview
I was commissioned by ConocoPhillips to create permanent art for their C-suite executive offices. Requesting I incorporate the flora and fauna of Montana, Big Sky Sunset becomes a fictionalized landscape/sunset scene symbolic of “big sky country”.
Goals
The goal was to produce permanent wall art for the CEO that was sentimental and contemplative without overwhelming the space.
Process
I use the non-destructive photo chemical etching process to cut the thin metal. I also painted the unseen backside to allow subtle colorized shadowing to occur.
