Through reclaimed metal sculpture “Be Awareness” is a language which was built about the fragile environmental concerns of the planet. Specifically exposing the problems that we face with the loss of our pollinators which has direct impact on food sources.
The integration of knowledge and awareness for a sustainable ecology is the basis of this work. The great success of the project is part due to all age groups find the sculpture approachable with the opening being that its made from common household parts which opens dialogue and communication towards the set of very complex problems. This was followed by video that explained and educated also made by miChelle Vara.
miChelle Vara is the designer and builder of this project, where the collaboration came in is the platforms to which the sculpture "Bee Aware" became the catalyst and motivator for change used by the educators and programs for bee awareness - ecology for all, in the state of NY.
