Overview
A barn office studio Phoenixville, PA
This was a private commission in a restored barn space converted into a studio office. Featuring a multi axis mobile 33’ x 15’ greeting guests at reception. Created with mixed metals and dichroic color glass inlays. The wind vane on the peak of the roof previews the unique experience visitors will have on entering this restoration.
Goals
The top of the barn has a metal wind vane sculpture when approaching the barn. This was the setup for a visitor to know this will be a different experience. The combination of the metal mobile creation hanging in the office entry with the custom wood restoration created a unique environment. The difference of the two surfaces and reflections of the metal texture and beauty of the glass color inserts was the impact intended by the owner and the artist Myron Wasserman.
Process
The commission was for a very creative owner of this wonderful estate and the whole process was a fantastic experience for the designer and fabricator Myron Wasserman. Having the support and belief that this would be a great installation made Myron Wasserman say, "I am so proud and thankful for the owner's support and what we accomplished." This is why I grind metal and labor over every detail of my creations.
Additional Information
The patronage and support of artists visions is something the world needs to keep supporting so we can have a new renaissance today and into the future.
