Client: Avenel Station Proposal

Overview

We used the letterforms of Avenel as the point of departure to explore preliminary designs for a tower sculpture. We worked with figure-ground, wireframe, and mesh arrangements where the original letter forms eventually dissolve into pure form. Interesting possibilities exist for some simple and effective night lighting. The result is a unique sculpture that has an inherent conceptual connection to the site.

Goals

The goal is to create a simple, vibrant and cost-effective. The playful nature of the forms and the colors introduce a sense of levity and optimism to counteract our current difficult times.
