Overview
Integrated artwork for a new mixed-use development in N Vancouver BC. These glass frit panels repeat the design theme seen in the primary sculpture and chandeliers. The pattern ties into the surrounding natural ecosystem of the Capilano River and Cleveland Dam and is intended to be interpreted in multiple ways, through different materials.
Goals
Keltic Canada Development engaged with the North Vancouver Recreation & Culture Commission to commission this work. Lori Philips, Public Art Officer, was instrumental in the process, and describes the project in this way, “Alluvii will serve as a beautiful beacon to the District of North Vancouver’s precious natural resources and spectacular landscape. We look forward to enjoying this striking piece for years to come.”
