Overview
The glass installation is designed and fabricated for a flight School for Special Forces Denmark. It's located in front of the school entrance. Theme: Airy. Size: 14' x 6' x 6'. Materials: Fused glass in stainless steel frames.
Goals
The goal for integrating commissioned art work was to give a poetic experience to people entering the school.
Process
I involved the design process with the art committee, and when the overall design was accepted, a fabricator made the frames, and the glass work was done in Hebsgaard's glass studios, Denmark. I took part in the glass production at the studio.
Additional Information
The design was based on the idea that the spectator can walk around the glass installation and at every step you experience a different set of glass pieces that reflect into each other, and provide a new experience.
