Overview
large-scale vinyl reproduction of “Fake Flowers” painting, at the Pittsburgh International Airport
111 x 224″ vinyl reproduction of original oil painting
The airport purchased from me the right to license and exhibit the image of one of my existing oil paintings for around 6 months at $1,500. They paid for the production and installation.
Goals
This piece was installed right by the trams in the airport, so it was the first thing travelers saw upon exiting the tram. The airport wanted something cheerful that popped!
Process
The airport curator reached out to me directly to ask if I would be willing to allow them to exhibit one of my paintings in large scale reproduction for approximately 6 months. We agreed on a fair price, I provided the high resolution file they needed, and they produced and installed the reproduction.
