Overview
Agent Orange: Do Not Forget Me is a B4 Peace project by Namaya – Artist and the B4 Peace team. The project’s goal is to increase knowledge and action regarding the ongoing damage caused by the US military’s chemical defoliant Agent Orange during the Vietnam War. This is both a sculpture for the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, and a social media campaign, “Yes, I can/ Yes We can” on the extraordinary ability of children with disabilities.
Goals
The goals was to create a sculpture to vividly raise awareness of Agent Orange. This was the core of this design project.
Process
We had and are involved in our ongoing and collaborative relationship with the War Remnants Museum. We have also been working with local theater and disability advocate groups.
Additional Information
This is typical of the kinds of project we create. It is art, word, performance and community engagement. For me as an artist i enjoy interacting and in some cases co-creating the project with participants. Through art and performance we engage the communities.
