Overview
Original Oil Paintings for a Coastal Residence in North Carolina
Goals
Over a period of ten years, an artful family home has been handed down from father to son. Three story waterfront home on the Currituck Sound is the playground for three generations. Recent additions to a collection of over twenty paintings include the Chrysalis Liquid diptych, 40" x 60", for the great room.
Process
A custom piece created for the stone fireplace, Quiet Morning, measures 30" x 40". The son chose to keep his father's painting on the mantle, surrounded by two Tuner bronzes. Edges of the painting is painted charcoal ~ rather than image wrap, thus setting it off the gray stone.
