8' x 8' x 20' Interactive sculpture located in Graham, North Carolina's historic downtown. Material's are 17 bent steal rods with 85 colorful plastic discs that slide freely. Abacus wave is designed to acts as a gateway to a Children's museum. Children are encouraged to play on and interact with the sculpture.

The goal of this project is to create an interactive sculptural park that connects the Alamance art galleries, the library, and the children's museum. These three facilities encourage interaction with the arts, education, and playful discovery. Abacus wave is a sculpture that integrates these concepts through its form, location, and function.

The Alamance Arts Council chose me to design the sculpture based on my previous qualifications. I was one of three artists chosen. After my design was approved, I worked with Bellex inc, a Nashville based metal fabricator, to build the steel structure. The 85 discs were made in my studio. The final product was transported and installed by Art Up Nashville.
