Overview
An abstract painting was requested, with specific dimensions (48″x48″x3″), a gallery wrapped canvas, to accommodate a particular wall space in the client's home. Specific color requests were honored as well as limitations in the design. The client was very clear about “the feeling” that the artwork should exude. Ultimately, the client decided a floater frame would be used to complete the piece.
Goals
The client was renovating the home and looking for a complete transformation in design. This art work was to be assimilated into the new palette without being a distraction. The mood requested was "zen" with little movement, but a definite inference of subject matter. It is a landscape abstraction with artistic liberties used in design and choice of hues.
Process
Only the artist and client were involved in the creation of this piece. Client was invited to view the painting in its various stages, for color approval and input of design ideas.
Additional Information
Upon completion, the client was "over the moon" happy, and said it was exactly what was wanted!
