Overview
A couple’s 25th wedding anniversary gift to each other, the window provides a balance of obscurity and transparency and enlivens the room with a bold stroke of color. The inspiration came from the client’s love of John Coltrane.
Goals
The goal was to provide privacy and brightness from one of those dreary NYC interior building courtyards.
Process
I was given free rein to design something that fit the personality of both the commissioners and the room itself. Figuring out how to hang the work without a frame was a trick.
Acid etched blown flashed glass laminated to clear safety.
Additional Information
This was a completely fun and pleasurable experience.
