Overview
A 25-foot tall relief sculpture is the featured artwork in Duquesne University’s multi-million dollar development. This artwork, a day-in-a-life scene, celebrates the university and the neighborhood . The colorful composition includes sports, music, animals, and street life. At Duquesne University on Forbes Avenue -a main drag into Downtown Pittsburgh.
Goals
The project created an art space and brought imaginative public art related to the life of the neighborhood, and the school—creating a bridge through art between the university to the community.
Process
I worked with both the community organization, as well as the university, to design compositions relatable and relevant to both entities.
