RainKeep “Charmed” 2018 The Boston Nature Conservancy commissioned RainKeep 'Charmed' for Chelsea, Massachusett’s urban community garden, allowing them an independent water source from town water supply. “Charmed” incorporates individual charms attached to its rain chains, inspired by my own personal history having had a studio in Rhode Island’s Jewelry district during my formative years as an artist.
Key goal was to provide water to the City of Chelsea's community garden. The garden is managed by GreenRoots and they have a wonderful educational program. For the RainKeep 'Charmed' charms were made out of cast bronze incorporated into its rain chains inspired by charm bracelets. The program uses the RainKeep to educate children and adults about water conservation and ways of getting potable water for garden uses.
It was wonderful to collaborate with The nature Conservancy and GreenRoots to accomplish this site specific utilitarian and playful RainKeep 'Charmed'.
