Overview
Electroland created a signature artwork for the connecting bridgeway of Gateway Community College. The faces of students, teachers and administrators appear as a slow-motion movie clips on a large 42’ x 48’ screen every 30 seconds. Individual faces are called up via a website connection. This work is viewable from both inside the bridgeway as well as from outside the bridge at a distance on the street.
Goals
The work serves a statement that a Community College in New Haven is a significant and forward-looking educational institution even in proximity of Yale campus.
Process
Electroland worked with a special committee to shoot video footage of students, faculty and staff, and involved them in the process.
