Overview

Design of Sculpture by the artist. Two sculptures at 18' and 20' tall fabricated out of 316L Stainless Steel with outside and inside edges polished and wide faces with a satin finish

Goals

Artist designed Sculpture with the intent of using the alignment of the sculpture with the alignment of the Sun. The fabrication had to be extremely accurate on the sides of the two sculptures for this alignment.

Process

Structural Engineering was done with signed and stamped drawings, the engineer also produced the patterns for fabrication. We fabricate the Sculpture by using the patterns and then welding and assembling the 316L SS into the sculptures. We then metal finished the wide faces to a satin finish and the outside and inside edges with a polish finish. Trucking company delivered both elements and the artist and ART Research installed the sculpture on site.
