Overview
“Trust” is a cast bronze sculpture measuring 6 feet tall by 4 1/2 feet wide by 7 feet deep.
Goals
The overall goals for creating this piece, were to create a sense of trust between two figures. The movement depicted is a classic team building exercise of trusting someone to catch you as you fall backward. This piece is very fitting both visually and concept wise into the university sculpture collection.
Process
The arts committee from Western Kentucky University contacted me to purchase two pieces for their campus sculpture collection. "Trust" was one of the pieces we decided would be a wonderful addition to the collection. I worked closely with their campus maintenance team on the installation and safety considerations for the location.
