Overview
I am fascinated by extreme weather & temperature variations that have become the new normal and how these changes can be expressed using color & shape while exposing odd temperature leaps. These are created as patterns intended to reveal concerns about the human experience.
WEATHERSCAPE assigns a color to a corresponding temperature. A day is a hexagonal shape carved into 24 sections for each hour: Each hour is painted the corresponding temperature. Each day is woven together. Monthly units fit into one another like a beehive. Running along the bottom edge is the color pallet. Temperatures recorded Philadelphia International Airport.
