Overview
Concept Summary: A celebration of the film and television industry and their universal repercussions through an exuberant juxtaposition of colors, shapes, and familiar imagery. The artwork is glass mosaics and measures 7 feet 5 inches by 66 feet 9.5 inches.
Goals
This commission was to create a dynamic mural to activate and transform the expansive wall above the ticket kiosks at the mezzanine of the Universal City/Studio City Metro Station.
Process
I worked closely with Franz Mayer of Munich, Inc. and their artisans in their studio in Munich, Germany who transformed my design into glorious glass mosaics. Their attention to detail was outstanding. In addition, the project managers at Metro Art were wonderful to work with and together with Mayer of Munich, everyone contributed to make this project a smooth and successful experience.
