Overview
The Mill Race Center is a community center for older adults. As the artist in residence at the Mill Race Center, I made 2 large art quilt tops inspired by 2 of the Trummelbach waterfalls in 5 days.
Goals
I was hiking in Switzerland with my husband and our tour group went into the mountain. I took pictures and then came back to Indiana to create the project based on inspiration from the falls.
Process
I printed each picture on my printer after uploading them to blockposters.com to make a 9 section enlargement to view while intuitively cutting the fabric pieces out. I then machine stitched the pieces together and machine quilted the wallhanging.
