The Committee selected "Lucent Immersion" by artist Tracy Lynn Pristas Lucent Immersion a textured mixed-media acrylic and pastel painted on museum-quality archival made in the USA stretched canvas. This was a direct purchase award. The painting is part of the state of Colorado permanent collection. It is displayed in an office area on the second floor of Escalante Hall.
“Lucent Immersion”, the artwork for Colorado Mesa University was selected from an open call for existing artworks by Colorado or Utah artists posted by the State Art Agency, Colorado Creative industries. The Art Selection Committee chose Tracy Lynn Pristas's work based on artistic excellence, conceptual compatibility and durable materials. The piece will be on permenant display on the Grand Junction campus in Escalante Hall at 1100 North Avenue.
This is her third painting by artist Tracy Lynn Pristas procured for permanent University art collections, others include the University of Montana and Montana State University.
