Overview

15 ft x 300 ft. building wrap printed on Tyvek building material wrapped an Art Center in Arlington. It was part of a tech installation at Burning Man and has been used recently by a circus team and two dance companies. The image repeats and can be any size.

Goals

The art work was commissioned originally for Sculpture on The Grounds, a project for Arlington Art Center in Arlington, Virginia. Bringing a stream of press coverage to the art center including a feature, in Art in America, The Washington Post and Big Picture Magazine as well as on local news. The meaning was the continuing nature and universality of protest. A voiceless scream. The interpretation has varied based on the context of the group or space where the art has been shown.

Process

This was a collaboration between the artist, the art center and private donors. We raised funding through the Arlington Art commission, had large groups of volunteers, and were given in kind donations by Dupont and Scott Snoyer of Brand Imaging Group, Nashville, TN. We also received help from Hewlitt Packard employees who loved the project and offered themselves as a support group.

Additional Information

The 0 Project is ongoing and available for various uses, decided on a one on one basis. The imagination of the user is welcomed. In October, the image will be an integral part of a modern opera production in San Jose. This performance will tour in 2018.
