Overview
This elegant, simple sculpture brings color and sparkle into the space, filling the atrium volumetrically while still allowing viewers to see through the space, lending it an airy, sophisticated and dynamic feel. Mouth-blown spheres reminiscent of bubbles, dichroic glass and polished stainless steel elements are strung together to create 40 strands of elegant ‘necklaces’ suspended in light. A slight breeze of air causes each piece to move independently. With each subtle movement the individual elements shimmer, reflect light and change in color.
Goals
The main goal was to integrate a bespoke suspended work of art into this private residence without crowding or overwhelming the space. Huether designed artwork that takes center stage, underlines the stairwell’s unique spatial features, creates a dynamic feel and is equally subtle as it is breathtaking.
