Goals

To offer to a global market never before seen colorful abstract graphics on a new line of Stand Up Paddle Surfboards to elevate the 47 year old Jimmy Lewis brand of surfboards.

Process

Artist Brad Forsythe has known the surfboard founder Jimmy Lewis for many years and approached him about how to bring attention to his line by incorporating colorful abstract graphics. Forsythe provided Lewis with several mock ups of how his concepts would perform on a variety of surfboards sizes and styles. As a result of the presentation and dialogue Jimmy Lewis commissioned artist Brad Forsythe to develop graphics for his new line of surfboards which was under development - The Jimmy Lewis Super Tech High Performance Stand Up Paddle series.

Additional Information

With the launch of the new Jimmy Lewis Super Tech line in 2014 the global demand for these surfboards has far surpassed the expectations of Jimmy Lewis. The goal of bringing new life to an old line surfboard brand was a huge success. The Jimmy Lewis brand has continued to collaborate with the artist on several new product lines such as a new line of graphite paddles. The artist also recently provided new colorful abstract graphics for the new 2016 Super Tech line of Stand Up Paddle surfboards.
